Winter Walk the Farms: Giving Purpose to the 29th of February

Thirty days hath September,
April, June and November;
February has twenty-eight
All the rest have thirty-one
Except in Leap Year, that's the time
When February's Days are twenty-nine

Meet again at the Manor House at 5:00 p.m. where we’ll indulge in a Chili bowl supper to continue any unfinished business from the last workshop, because there’s a bit of other business to attend to and a new workshop wouldn’t get its due.

It turns out that in 1928 at the Savoy Hotel in London a leap year cocktail was invented. This gin, Grand Marnier, sweet Vermouth and fresh lemon juice cocktail is served martini-style with a lemon twist. Simple, elegant and sophisticated.

It’s good to take a break from the routines in life, isn’t it? So nice when Mother Nature (or rather human interpretation thereof) gives us a reason to do so.

Soon, the gardens will call. But today, we’ll lift a glass in toast to them and contemplate anything in our toolkit that hasn’t been addressed. ER-HEMMM!
