Labor Day Weekend is that magical time when Maryland turns its temperature back to Indian Summer so we can keep on hanging out out-of-doors.

Fall is officially 4 days off and our tribute to the change of season won't be felt much if the traditional Maryland Indian Summer has its way.  So much to do in September always, so plan ahead to take some time before those days of hanging out creekside with us are inside instead of outside. Higher Standards brings an afternoon of Jazz on a day that promises to bring a whiff of fall as we begin to consider the annual harvest ahead, wine in to tanks and barrels, and --- well that is enough of thoughts about tomorrow as today is just another great afternoon of the summer when the moment is now. 

Sweeping in to the last month of summer (save the endless Indian summers that seem to be happily upon us in the mid-Atlantic), spend an afternoon with a wonderful guitar instrumentalist whose recordings will help you through the coming winter when you can think back to a certain Sunday in August with music, Slack wine and great picnic fare (bring you own -- stop by at St. Inigoes General store on the way down to Ridge).

Three friends combined talent to make up the Bootlegger Trio and we think you'll agree they are worth your while to come see at Woodlawn.  Musicians play 1-5 pm with the Wine Cottage open 12-6 pm for a great selection of our new Slack wines.  Bring your own picnic and enjoy the waterside view and atmosphere at the height of summer.
